Hometown Hero recognized at Kennebec Ag Day
Betty Jean Mertens representing the Modern Woodmen of America Chapter of Kennebec presented Matt Collins with the HomeTown Hero award at the Kennebec Ag Day free barbecue Saturday at the Kennebec Fire Hall. Collins was recognized for this volunteer work as president of the Town & County Club and his work with the Little League baseball program.Along with Ag Day festivities the Kennebec High School Alumni reunion was held in Kennebec on Saturday night.
